Baker County School Selects New Superintendent:

The Baker County School Board of Education hired new Superintendent Dr. Roy Brooks with a unanimous vote on October 3, 2016. Dr. Roy Brooks is from Little Rock Arkansas. He is a graduate from Florida A&M University (Bachelor’s Degree) and Nova Southeastern University (Master’s and Doctorate Degree). “I am excited about how we are going to increase student achievement and spend tax payer dollars wisely,” stated Dr. Roy Brooks. Dr. Brooks encourages more parent and community involvement in the school system. “Parent and community involvement is so important to me. With involvement from parents, community members, and community leaders our school system will be able to realize the vision of becoming one of the highest achieving rural school districts in Georgia,” he said.

Dr. Brooks sat down in an exclusive interview with “The Grizzly: Live Edition.” Visit Baker County School GA Parents Corner on Facebook to watch the full interview. We appreciate Dr. Brooks and wish him much success here at Baker County School.
