Jordyn Murphy is the 5th grade teacher for Baker County Schools in Newton, Georgia. As a part of the Grades 3-5 Team, she teaches students from all three grades during Power Hour for Reading. She also teaches 7th grade World Studies. Her previous titles held were Middle Grades ELA and Social Studies teacher.
Mrs. Murphy is a 2013 graduate of Berry College of Rome, Georgia. She is currently a GaTAPP Program student through SWGA RESA, pending graduation status. She is also a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE).
Mrs. Murphy believes that a classroom should operate like a family - they should love, support, and learn from one another. A student learns best when they feel encouragement from their teachers and peers! Her goals are for every student to make academic progress, and to make every student excited about coming to school.
