The Golden Bear Regiment

The Baker County Schools Music Department, led by Mr. Anthony Troupe, includes music education from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our goal is to build musicianship, pride, and purpose in every student.

Ensembles & Classes Offered:

• Golden Bear Regiment (Marching & Pep Band)

• Ursa Major Concert Band

• Cub Choir

• Beginning Band

• General Music (Grades K–5)

We welcome students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned musicians. Our program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, creativity, and fun!

Mr. Anthony Troupe is a passionate educator, performer, and mentor who proudly serves as the Director of Bands for Baker County Schools. A native of South Georgia, Mr. Troupe is known for his high expectations, compassionate teaching style, and deep commitment to student growth through music.

After earning his degree in music from Valdosta State University, Mr. Troupe became dedicated to providing rural students with access to excellence in music education. His leadership has increased band participation, elevated musical quality, and brought fresh energy to the Golden Bear Regiment. He is especially passionate about fusing cultural relevance with traditional discipline, helping students find both joy and purpose in performance.

His motto for the Golden Bear Regiment is: "Sic Parvis Magna. Greatness from Small Things" Outside the classroom, Mr. Troupe enjoys cooking, walking, and spending time with his wife and son. You can contact him via email at [email protected] or through the main school office.
