The Golden Bear Regiment

The Baker County Schools Music Department, led by Mr. Scott Kroll, includes music education from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our goal is to build musicianship, pride, and purpose in every student.

Ensembles & Classes Offered:

• Golden Bear Regiment (Marching & Pep Band)

• Ursa Major Concert Band

• Cub Choir

• Beginning Band

• General Music (Grades K–5)

We welcome students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned musicians. Our program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, creativity, and fun!

Mr. Scott Kroll
Director of Bands & Music Education

Mr. Scott Kroll is a passionate educator, performer, and mentor who proudly serves as the Director of Bands for Baker County Schools. Mr. Kroll is a music educator of 26 years. His career has been educating students in Southwest Georgia. 

Mr. Kroll earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at Troy State University (now Troy University). He studied composition, orchestration, and arranging with Robert W. Smith, Ralph Ford, and Dr. Carl Vollrath.  Mr. Kroll was a featured soloist and concert master for the Troy State Symphony Band, and a founding member of the Troy State Wind Ensemble, and a section leader and featured soloist with the world-renowned Sound of the South Marching Band. He was also the principal clarinetist with the Southeastern Festival Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Terre Johnson. 

Mr. Kroll resides in Sylvester, Georgia with his wife and two children. He plays saxophone and clarinet, and arranges the occasional piece for the Sherwood Baptist Church Orchestra.

July 6th -17th, 2026 - Mr. Kroll in office from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. every day. I'd love for you to stop by any time!

July 20th - 24th, 2026 - Band Camp for all band members!

     8 a.m. - 12 Noon -  All band members

     1 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Percussion only

July 31st - First Day of school for the 2026 - 27 school year! Go Bears!

August 4th, 5th, and 6th - After school rehearsal, Full Band

August 11th, 12th, and 13th - After school rehearsal, Full Band

August 18th, 19th, and 20th - After school rehearsal, Full Band

August 25th, 26th, and 27th - After school rehearsal, Full Band

August 28th, 2026 - 1st Home Game!!!!
